30 Second Dance Party is a fun and engaging product that consists of a simple button that, when pressed, plays 30 seconds of upbeat dance music. As a designer, I was tasked with creating a compelling brand identity for the product, including designing eye-catching packaging and product labels, as well as developing graphics for the web and e-commerce platforms. My goal was to create a visual identity that captured the fun essence of the product and made it stand out on store shelves and online.
Brand Objectives
• Develop a complete brand identity that is humorous and slightly irreverent, appealing to young adults seeking playful, novelty items.
• The brand should resonate as a fun, lighthearted choice for party props or quirky holiday stocking stuffers.
Marketing Objectives
• Create engaging marketing materials for social media and YouTube, infused with humor and a playful tone.
• Broaden the brand’s appeal by designing merchandise such as t-shirts, hats, stickers, and party necklaces, reinforcing its lively identity and boosting visibility
Product Objectives
• The packaging design should be vibrant, quirky, and colorful, exuding a playful energy that inspires excitement and sets the mood for a party.
• It should captivate the audience with its engaging and fun aesthetic, making the product irresistible for festive occasions.

What I’ve learned
A key part of my design process is tracking how a solution performs—analyzing the data, celebrating wins, and spotting areas to level up. When we first designed the branding for 30 Second Dance Party, the focus was on college parties. But based on analytics, it turns out teachers are the biggest fans! Now, as we roll out new button versions, we’re refining the brand to match what we’ve learned. Design is about pinpointing what works, what doesn’t, and making changes when needed.
